So, we finally moved from good old Rexburg. Overall we like it here. Dallas started school today. He so far is impressing everyone here and loves his theory class. Tonight he is taking a theory test, mostly so the faculty can see how much he knows. I am sure he is enjoying it as he loves music theory and taking tests. Right now he isn't too busy, but as soon as everyone realizes how talented he is I am sure he will be gone a lot. I just hope we can get a piano so I am not alone too much. Today I like Arizona because I didn't have to drive anywhere! Yesterday when I took Penny to the hospital, I got so lost and drove around for an hour and a half before stopping at a McDonalds for directions! Luckily the Penny and Gabe slept the whole time! I am anxious for nicer weather so we can go outside to play. The kids seem to love it here so much. We have been so welcomed by our ward here. Our new bishop invited us over for dinner, it was so wonderful to get to know someone. I have to put in a few funny things that Sophie has said recently, since I forgot to put them in her post. One evening as we were eating dinner the air conditioning kicked on and she said, "Our house is going up and up!" We realized she thought it sounded like we were on an elevator! And then, when Dallas was helping with her personal prayer he asked her to think of things to ask Heavenly Father for and she said, "Christmas candy!" She is so funny. I hope all is well with everyone else. Thank you everyone that helped us move. We miss you all!

While Penny was really sick, she was lying on the couch and Sophie went and snuggled by her and kept saying, "It's going to be okay, Penny, you will feel better soon! Your birthday is coming up!" It was so cute. What good kids.

Blake let us borrow the Super Nintendo. Sophie loves "playing" with Dallas, especially when he plays as the princess!

Our first day here!

For our first dinner here, Dallas got us McDonalds and we sat on the floor. The girls fell asleep, by their choice, in the closets until Dallas and I could get their beds in.

Here are the girls taking Gabe for a walk! He loved it. Penny actually didn't because it is her stroller and she wanted her puppy in it!

The new place

So, we are officially unpacked! It feels so good- like we are finally home again. This is our new apartment. It is definately a lot bigger than our old place. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. I absolutely love having a washer and dryer! It has come in handy too, with Penny being so sick. We are also enjoying the air conditioning! It is still weird to look outside and see all the weird trees and tiled roofs. Being inside all day I sometimes feel like we are still in Rexburg. We so far like it here, though.

The kids were mostly good during the unpacking.

Unpacking!

It was so hot when we got here to Arizona! It took a while for the air conditioning to kick in and I thought we were going to die! It was one of the hottest days they have had here. The Bishop here didn't get our message that we needed help, so Dallas and I unloaded the truck ourselves. Dallas did most of the work. It took a lot longer than the loading because we had a ton of help doing that. And it was so incredibly hot here. We just got out what we needed and put our kids to bed and did the rest in the late evening. I am pretty proud of how tough we are to carry the hide-a-bed! Our original vision with our couch didn't actually work, as you can see. We would have had almost no way to get into the living room!

I forgot to put this one in. Does anyone need the time?

St George

We stopped overnight at Grandma and Grandpa Heaton's place in St. George. They were so nice! They gave our kids books for the car and a toy for Gabe. And, most helpful, Grandma held Gabe while we got everything ready. It was great!

On our WAY!

The drive was really not that bad. The worst part was from Rexburg to Logan, UT. Sophie wet her pants and all the kids pretty much screamed. I was really nervous for the rest of the 15 hours, since the first 2 were that bad, but luckily we picked up my sister Erin's sister-in-law and her son, Jason for the rest of the ride. Sophie rode with Dallas, in what she called our "Big Yellow Bus." Poor Jason had to entertain the babies for most of the trip, but he was pretty good at it! Penny loved throwing her puppy on the floor for him to pick up over and over. It is funny how kids have no attention for some things, but requiring someone else to bend over and pick up a puppy keeps them entertained for hours! Kay was good company for me too. It was a good thing becasue there wasn't much to look at, except for a big yellow Penske truck. We did have walkie-talkies, which were so nice. The last picture is entitled "Power of the Penske!" Imagine how exciting it was for us to see a fellow Penske out in the desert!!

Paul Bytheway, Whitney's husband, was so nice and brought our truck up to Rexburg and helped us load it and clean afterwards. We stopped in Logan to drop him off and say goodbye!

Aishi, Kanae and Saori Ito came by to say goodbye one last time. They have been such great friends!

Packing! Mindy was so nice and took the girls like almost the whole time we were packing. She even kept them over for 2 nights! Dallas kept it pretty entertaining!

We went to a Celtic music festival our last Saturday in Rexburg. Sophie found some cute boys to flirt with! They are actually my friend Sara's kids. I went to high school with her and she happened to be in my ward right before we had Sophie for 2 weeks before moving back to Boise. It was good to see her and so fun to hear the bagpipes.
