What can I say, but that I have the cutest kids in the world! Sophie is seriously like the perfect kid. It almost worries me because she is too willing to help, too willing to eat healthy food instead of candy, and loves to teach her brother and sister all kinds of things. I hope she doesn't feel like she has to grow up too fast. She is so wonderful, though. I guess she does have one downfall; she gets in trouble a couple times a week for talking to her friends! I probably should be mad, but she is just such a social butterfly. Everyone in her class loves her. Don't worry, I talk to her about it and tell her she needs to be quiet when the teacher is talking, but at least she isn't doing anything mean. Oh, yeah, and this morning she came and got in bed with me and said, "Mom, I don't want to be a princess when I grow up now. I want to be a ballerina or a fireman. Those are my only choices." "Why do you want to be a fireman?" "Because I think it would be fun to spray the hose. Yeah, a fireman is a really good choice."
Penelope is definitely her own person. She hates to be told what to do. For instance, every day she comes home from school and wants to do homework (which she rarely has) when Sophie does hers. Well, tonight she actually had homework. So, I get all excited and tell her it is time to do her homework and she threw the biggest fit and refused to do it! Gosh, it was a number matching game.... I finally had to wait until it became her idea to do it. I love her smile. She can light up a room.
Gabe is toying with the idea of potty-training. I know he could do it if I really worked hard with him, but I just don't know if I can handle it right now. He asks to wear underwear almost every morning and usually tells me a few times when he needs to go. But as soon as he has an accident he wants a diaper again. I should probably tell him no more diapers, because now is probably a better time than after the babies are born, but still..... Gabe has also become quite a little singer. He has pretty good pitch and loves to sing all kinds of songs. He is adorable. (I don't have pictures, but he is suffering from a bit of an awkward haircut right now. I wish I weren't so cheap that I had to do it myself.)
Other than that, life is just moving on. Dallas is busy with auditions for summer programs and then rehearsals. I feel a little bit like a single mom, but I know he is just trying to do his best to take care of us. I am thankful for him and all the sacrafices he makes for us.

So, for all you who want to see how freaking huge I am getting, here is your picture. The scary thing is that I still have 3 months to go! I am gaining weight at an alarming weight. (I gained 10 lbs in 4 weeks!) I feel bigger than I think I look. Overall I am feeling well. Mostly tired and uncomfortable, but I guess I am going to have to get used to that! I had another ultrasound last Wednesday and everything still looks good. Baby A (the girl) is still breech, so that is a little disapointing, though she still has some time to flip. She weighs 1 lb 2 oz right now and is in the 37th%. Baby B (boy) is a little bit bigger, weighing in at 1 lb 5 oz. As far as I can tell from the pictures, they both look a little like creepy aliens still. They also measured my cervix and said it was very long (4 cm) which is a good sign that these little kids are going to stay put for a while.
I am switching docs due to a nasty OB that I saw two weeks ago. I am hoping this new practice is a little more willing to let me do a vaginal delivery if both babies are head-down come delivery time. I am okay with a c-section as long as it is because of me or the babies, not some lousy doctor's preference to deliver all twins c-section. We will just have to wait and see what happens. I have an appointment on Friday with the same practice, but a new doctor, but then starting in December I will switch to the new practice.

Penelope got to go on a super fun (in theory) field trip back in October. I know, I know, I am way behind on my posts. But anyhow, she honestly didn't seem to enjoy herself all that much. The bunnies were definitely her favorite. She could have milked a cow, fed the goats from her hand, petted the sheep, and other things, but grouchily refused to do it all. Still, I had fun, and she seemed to enjoy it enough to rub it into Sophie's face for a few days that she got to go on a field trip.
