Happy Thanksgiving

We did Thanksgiving with the Pew's again this year. It was great! The did most of the cooking, so that rocked! We ate at their house and then came over to our place to play Dominion! (They gave us the game after we watched their kids. It is probably my favorite game!) I am so glad that we have such great friends here!

And, well, I also want to talk a little about what I am thankful for. I mean, I have so much to be thankful for. First of all, my husband, Dallas. He is hot, funny, and so smart. He has been so patient with me and all my craziness. I love him so much and it seems to be growing exponentially: the love, that is. And then, there are the kids. How is it possible that I got five out of five kids that are all amazing beyond explanation. (Maybe it has something to do with their parentage...) NO, but seriously, I love those kids with every ounce of my being. I admit I am not always in the mood to wash their poopy pants or wake up in the night for them, but all the sacrifices are worth it. I sometimes wish I could have five seperate lives, so I could give each of them all of my attention, because I feel bad that they all have to fight for it. But we are just doing the best we can. And, I think they appreciate having each other more than they would wish to be alone with me. Still, I love having special time alone with each one. The other morning I woke Sophie up super early so we could go to McDonald's for breakfast before school. I will never forget that morning. I am excited to watch them grow and so amazed by what they are already. I know you guys are probably sick of me gushing over my kids, but they are amazing, and I can't really help it. So, next I would like to talk about how thankful I am for the gospel of Jesus Christ. We pick up a little girl from school whose dad is a preacher and she said they have miracles in their house all the time. And I believe it. Because we do too. It is a miracle that even though I am forever making mistakes, that the Atonement of Jesus Christ still makes our family wonderful. It is a miracle that my husband will hold me, even if he is mad, when I hit into the the garage two days in a row. It is a miracle that we all eat a fairly balanced diet and have never been hungry. I mean, I have never had to worry about keeping our family warm. How many babies have died in the history of time because they were hungry or too cold? Oh, miracles surely do happen in the Heaton home! I am thankful for wonderful siblings and in-laws. I am thankful for cinamon bears and macadamia nut cookies. Okay, I am thankful for so much, but I am going to stop. I am getting weepy. So, I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving. I have a ton of posts, so be prepared, but even if you don't read them all, just know that I do this more for my family than anyone, so I am totally not offended. Oh, and on a random note, I had a dream last night that Lea Michele wanted to be my BFF after watching me star in a musical. It was kind of awesome. So I am thankful for that.

Wow, you really did do a lot of posting! I want to meet your twins!! It's fun to at least see them. So good to see that everyone is doing well. Your message about thankfulness really reminds me of your mom. Thanks for sharing!

Emily, you truly are awesome. Lea Michele would be lucky to have a friend as fantastic as you! Sorry that I haven't sent that hat yet, I promise I will get it to you before it doesn't fit anymore. I don't really have a good excuse, but here's a lame one: I haven't sent it because I'm crazy and have pregnancy brain. Ok, I know that's not really worth a hill of beans, since you did some really amazing things while you were pregnant with the twins. But I have your address saved in my phone and someday I'll make it to that magical place they call the post office. Anyway, I love you, and your family! Happy late Thanksgiving! (Nathan was really excited for a couple of days because he thought he had heard my mom say that you guys were coming for Thanksgiving. We were both pretty bummed that you didn't.)
